Administrative Assistant
Applications are invited from persons with suitable qualifications to fill the position of Administrative Assistant at the Heroes Foundation.
The candidate holding this position needs to be quite efficient when conversing with external stakeholders and be able to work within a team oriented environment. Their duties involve the day-to-day running of the office.
The job requires a professional demeanor, good organizational skills, and computer literacy. Candidate should also be comfortable answering phones and working basic office machinery such as fax machines. Possessing some exposure to project and event coordination is an added benefit.
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with Manager to ensure the proper running of day to day office activities
• Assists team members with administrative tasks and provide support on projects
• Manage and maintain HF’s database (including volunteer database)
• Assist in developing and retaining healthy relations with Sponsors, Volunteers
and other Stakeholders (e.g. distribution of newsletters etc.)
• Provide support in the area of research for projects and sponsorship proposals
• File management and coordination
Experience and Qualifications:
• 2 Advanced Level passes
• 5 CXC or O'Level passes including English and Mathematics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows based computer applications
• Proven writing ability
• Team player
• Prior working experience in a similar environment would be an asset
