HOAH2 BOOK TWO - "TRANSFORMATIONS"

The main objective of this issue is to sensitize the reader on the lives of the differently-abled youth in our community. The storyline revolves around a physically-challenged young man, who despite his own doubts and fears about his capabilities, rise to the challenge and in doing so, inspires his family, friends and colleagues to transform their way of thinking towards the differently-abled.

This issue has been dedicated to the 2004- 2005 Youth Team of the Heroes Foundation- the 'Heroes of the Future'. HOAH3 BOOK THREE - "ENLIGHTENMENT"

A comic designed primarily for educating youth about the realities of living with HIV and AIDS in T&T. An innovative comic book offering age-appropriate education on HIV and AIDS representing a valuable addition to a growing body of materials designed for girls and young people in general- who are recognized as being at high risk for HIV. This book offers a glimpse of realities of living with HIV and AIDS and it is our desire that by gaining an insight into this reality, the reader will understand the challenges of being HIV positive, particularly the associated Stigma and Discrimination and the hurt that is often experienced by those living with HIV and AIDS.

This publication is a powerful tool to drive home to young people the basics of HIV prevention and the need for more embracing attitudes to those already infected. The story was skillfully produced by the Heroes Foundation team along with the writer, Shaun Raiz Mohammed who worked with a team of artists, Marvin Leech, Michelle Dawn Amoroso and Khadija Mohammed.
